Introducing CANtrade™: Nventure’s New Opportunity Fund for Local Businesses to Adapt and Grow

Cobourg, ONTARIO – June 3, 2025 – Today, Nventure Business Development Corporation introduced CANtrade™: a new opportunity fund for businesses navigating the current trade environment. 

“Businesses in Northumberland are making mission critical decisions at this time, not just to stabilize operations in the short term, but to plan for future growth,” said Nventure CEO, Wendy Curtis. “We’re here to invest forward with them through our new CANtrade™ initiative.”   

From recalibrating supply chains and ramping up domestic production to pursuing new inter-provincial trade opportunities and expanding export markets for Made in Northumberland products, Nventure is offering CANtrade™ through the Community Futures Program in Northumberland. 

CANtrade™ Loan highlights: 

  • Borrow from $5,000 to $150,000 

  • Interest rate of prime to prime +2% 

  • Up to a 60-month repayment term 

  • Interest-only payments for the first 6 months 

  • No prepayment penalty
