Vfactory
A Virtual Reality recruitment and retention platform for manufacturing.
Step Inside the World of Manufacturing
Nventure, in collaboration with the Northumberland Manufacturers Association (NMA), has launched Vfactory, an immersive VR platform designed to help manufacturers recruit, train, and retain talent.
Supported by Ontario’s Skills Development Fund (SDF), Vfactory recreates workplace conditions such as noise, monotony, pace, and safety practices that often contribute to employee turnover. By giving candidates a first-hand preview of the realities of industrial work before they begin, Vfactory reduces turnover and builds a stronger, more resilient workforce.
Why VR Training Works
Virtual Reality transforms the way people learn. Studies show that learners absorb knowledge four times faster, feel 3.75 times more emotionally connected, and gain 275 percent more confidence than with traditional training. This level of engagement turns practice into real-world readiness, helping employers build confident, capable teams and safer, more productive workplaces.
Coming Soon: Vfactory Simulations
Three VR simulations will launch in early 2026 as part of this pilot project.
The Heavy Industrial Line
January 2026
Users start in the Vfactory locker room to learn about safety basics and PPE. They then step onto a busy shop floor to build wooden pallets, experience machine lockout procedures, and perform realistic, interactive tasks that simulate factory work.
The Robotic Line
February 2026
Building on SIM #1 (The Heavy Industrial Line), this experience introduces robotic machinery. Users explore safety features, cut steel rods under supervision, and perform production quality checks in an interactive, high-tech environment.
Health & Safety Awareness
March 2026
An interactive overview of mandatory manufacturing safety training, covering hazards, ergonomics, and shift work. Includes quizzes and score tracking for employers to assess worker readiness.
Facilitated Training
Alongside the simulations, Nventure is working with the NMA to deliver virtual training sessions to support manufacturers adopting VR training.
